Our Lives Are Better When They’re A Little Bit Wild
Our Lives Are Better When They’re A Little Bit Wild
We are very excited at From You To Me because we have just sent a new journal off to be printed, ready to be launched at the end of August 2015. However, what makes this very different is that we have created this journal in collaboration with the lovely people at Dorset Wildlife Trust who are an independent charity under the umbrella of the ‘The Wildlife Trusts’.
About 12 months ago I had a very interesting discussion with Alastair Cook Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Dorset Wildlife Trust and we discovered that we were both passionate about nature, particularly getting young people engaged with the outdoors and giving them a thirst for their environment and outside activities.
This led on to a few meetings and, before we knew it, we were running creative workshops with a team of inspirational people, all coming up with great content for a fabulous new book. A year later, after lots of work, drawing numerous images and creating lots of fun pages we have created Rant & Rave – My Wild Life. This is the third product in an award winning series of journals designed to “Get Kids Writing” which is a National Campaign in the UK.
The journal contains activities, engaging and thought-provoking questions, as well as spaces for drawing, sticking and doodling. What makes it different is it’s designed for the whole of the young person’s Wild Life . . be it walking, climbing, bird watching to playing in the woods or on the beach . . . for them to explore their passions and express the value of nature to them.
Although the book is 10 weeks away, you can dip your toes into the outdoors now by taking part in 30 Days Wild! Just go to: http://www.mywildlife.org.uk/30-days-wild
Remember – leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but photos
Have a Wild Life!
